Topic: Stick It

Been using a light coating of AquaNet Extra for sticking PLA . It works well, but I cant take the fumes anymore.
Ive tried PVA(Polyvinyl acetate), the actual stuff, not glue. The pva film doesnt stick to the bed well.

The other ingredient in AquaNet is Methacrylate Copolymer. It seems to be used in plexiglass.
I think anything in that category would be prohibitive on a hot bed.

PLA is PolyLActic acid. Reading more, the name lactic acid comes up in properties.
Lactic acid, like in yogurt ?

Worth a try roll

Re: Stick It

Ran out of un-scented AquaNet. I keep calling HairNet.
Tried plain yogurt- dont do it !

Will try sugar water next.

Elmer's purple glue sticks on bare glass. Sugar water will just get you ants.

Jusy a note, if you are able to smell the fumes from unscented aquanet any place but near the printer then you are using too much.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
