Topic: SD v2 and v3 confusion

Hi All,
New to this 3D printing world and I have pretty much decided on an SD. Reading the specs the v2 has a 6" x 6" platform and the v3 states, "double the size," but it has an 8" x 8" platform.

Do they mean double the area or is there some trick with the size? Does the v2 maybe actually only do 4" x 4" even though it has a 6" build platform?

8 x 8 x 8 = 512

6 x 6 x 6 = 216

512/216 = 2.37x bigger.

They doubled the volume.  Think of fish tanks full of water.  Sd3 holds 2x the water of sd2
