Topic: Good Test Print - Modular Snap-Fit Airship

From Thingiverse

This is a great test print for the SD2 since all of the parts are on a plate that fit on the SD2 bed. It can help test your retraction settings, bed level, warping, overhangs and wall width.  I printed the shell version at .3mm (they recommend .15 or lower) and its total time was 2hrs 40mins.  My front nose doesnt fit to well even after taking a file to it.  I'd like to be able to get a real nice one of these printed to give it a run in the presto vapor chamber.

Sad days are these. My 9hr .1mm print didn't handle the last layers to well, and the nose cone is just a sorry state.

My hindenburg is on the bed with my .3mm in the foreground.

Positive note: No warp on that 9 hr print!

Yeah, I too found out the hard way that I need to turn up the perimeters and top and bottom solid layers when printing at .1mm since the main reason I was printing at .1 was because of the stairstepping on gradual curves.

use kisslicer instead of slic3r... it take care of a minimal skin thickness even if you didn't set enough perimeters..

Sounds good ysb. I have put off configuring kisslicer for long enough!

ronsii, I cant up the layer thickness on this version of the airship.  Maybe if I used the infilled version it would work.
