Topic: Is anyone using Repetier-host Server with a SD2 or SD3 ?

I installed the latest RHS along with the latest  RH and thought I had worked out most of the settings in RHS. The problem is in RHS when I try to move to a home X or Y , it does not go to the same place as it does in RH.

I was hoping someone has it up and working and can share their settings.

It's not a big deal, I can just shut down RHS and use the regular RH but I would like to get some of the added features in the server software.

I found this video where the user sets up server with an SD3 or 4

I ran through it, but the settings in server are still a bit wonky. Sometimes I hit move 10 and it moves all the way across the axis. It's just small things that seem off. I wonder why they don't make some type of RH export to get your settings exactly the same in RHS. Or just add some of the features of RHS into RH. I love the built in time lapse/webcam and webpage features, but the headache of setting it up has not been worth the effort.

is the server for running multiple printers?

Yes, and it adds the ability to control all aspects of the printer from a web page instead of having to be locally on the host pc. It also  add dozens of features not found in the regular RH.

oh for Win 10 users. I dont do cloud and dont need to. remote 3D printer use is not very safe, what if it goes terribly wrong as happens

No its any windows 7 and higher , it just runs a webserver that takes control of the com port. While, I agree that I would never leave it completely unattended, its nice to go into another room for lunch or whatever and be able to monitor it from my phone or another laptop and have a video stream with all the controls at my fingertips.

As it is now, I can view it with a separate web server for the camera and if something goes wrong or I need to adjust the flow, I have to VNC into the box or go to it physically.
