But you still have the VREF set all the way clockwise?
Yes Its was
And if you set it back from there while calling for movement, can you get it to run smoothly?

Yes!! that worked for the Y axis. I was able to fine the sweet "spot" Thank you thank you. It didnt work for the Z or X though
No matter where I turn the pot they just sit there not making a sound. Now if I plug the X or Z motor into the Y port on the board im able to jog them just fine.
Seems as though you are experiencing some sort of power issue. Have you checked the voltage to the board? It's possible that the drivers are bad but seems odd that you can't find any spot that X and z will move. Clearly your board is functioning though. Grab a meter and check that voltage then leave it connected while you heat the bed to see if it drops off.

Ok I will try this tomorrow Ive got to leave now
Thank You so much for all yalls help.
Ok so I have a steady 12.25 VDC going into the board. What other points should I check?
Now take that one working driver out and plug it into one of the non working axis and see if that axis will now move. Repeat for all. This will tell us if the board is functional or not.
Ok I have all of the steppers out except the known good one. I put that one in the x axis spot and eureka!!! It works like a charm. I then moved it to the z axis spot. Sadly it does not do anything in that spot? Should the pot be adjusted for the z axis because the motors are different?
Well, yeah you're going to have some adjustment needed. This tells us that your drivers are either failing or simply overheating. I'd recommend replacing the drivers instead of the whole board. Go to MakerFarm and buy some Good replacements. Alternately you could upgrade to a Rumba board or an Azteeg X3. There's plenty of Ramps 1.4 boards out there but as of right now I can't recommend one of those, too many cheap ones out there that don't work properly.

I will do! thank you so much for the help. cant wait until I can print again. Will these work? http://www.makerfarm.com/index.php/prin … river.html
Yep
That driver on E:, must be a geetech DRV8825? That would be correct if that's the case. If you are looking to verify, each pin is labeled on the board and driver, just match them up. The silkscreen on the drivers is on the under side of the board.
I have it all hooked back up now. x and y are working good but z will not turn at all ![]()
All you can do is turn up the VREF on that driver until it starts turning. make sure the s endstop isn't triggered and that you are telling it to move down (up arrow) in RH. assuming all else is good you may have a bad driver.
Sorry for my absence , I have been out of pocket due to work. I do have some bad news. I tried what you said and still got nothing in the z axis. I even swapped out the driver with a know good driver from x/y and still no movement what so ever.
. The only way I can get z to move is to move the motor plug to one of the x/y plugs on the board.
Since you've verified the motor works this leaves only board failure or something seriously incorrect with your firmware settings. Both being very solvable problems.

Any recommendations on witch board to get? Preferably in the $40 range if possible. LOL my wife is going to kill me if I spend much more on this thing. ![]()
That leaves you with a Ramps 1.4 but I bet someone here on the forum has a used Sang or PrintrBoard they're willing to sell. Maybe do a post in the B/S/T section and see what you can come up with.
AZERATE has a PrintrBoard that he is willing to sell. Let either of us know how we can help.
Thank you so much for the help. I just sent him a PM.
