Topic: Help With Arduino Burning Up (Davinci to Ramps Conversion)
Hello all,
So I have been undergoing the process of converting my davinci 1.0 to a ramps arduino mega combo. I had wired up just about everything (steppers, thermistor, hot end, endstops) and was having an issue feeding the filament smoothly to the hotend (it was an aftermarket hotend) so I decided to revert back to the stock hotend. So I wired up the shock hotend\extruder and its thermistor and when I went to connect the computer to repetier on the pc I smelt smoke and saw smoke rising out of the board. I did not see where the smoke had risen from but assumed that it was from the ramps board due to that being the only thing I had touched so I ordered a replacement, transferred over the cables and was getting no response from the printer so I replaced the arduino mega and when I went to plug it in smoking again this time I saw exactly where it was coming from it was the arduino and I have attached a screen shot of the exact component. I am hoping someone can tell me what the component is, whether its replaceable and what in the world keep be causing it to burn up??
Thank you to all who read this and attempt to help ahead of time <3
