Topic: Tried to print, says "device not found"

I am having a issue with my laptop as this is my first attempt of using it for the printer. Whenever I hit print a message comes up that says "device not found".  The connections are all good but it also has a yellow triangle over the printer under devices.  I can do everything fine up until then.  Any advice?

Sounds like you need to install the driver for your hardware.  I am not a DaVinci guru but it'll help others help you if you told us what operating system you had and a little about your printer...... say, model or anything.

I made a first post with the old title and after hitting "submit" the page got stuck loading and then said the server was down. After I refreshed the page I retyped it and it was not word for word. When I went back to the feed I noticed there were a lot of my posts but couldn't figure out how to delete them. I apologize, I have no idea why it happened.

+1

Sounds like a lack of drivers.. Drivers are not always installed when the software is installed and need to be installed separately.. Should be a folder on the install disc called drivers that have an installer in it.

If you are using Win 10 then it to could be an issue as several have had issue with it and XYZ printers. Might consider getting a cheap laptop on ebay running XP for $100 or less..

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Yes, it was a issue with drivers. Thanks for directing me.
