Topic: DaVinci Jr Filament Question

No, it's not the "how do I use my own filament" question. :-)

So, my daughter got a Jr. for Christmas and I have a simple question: Does she need to completely unload the filament if we're turning the printer off and letting it sit? We can't find the answer in the manual and XYZ customer service is MIA.

Thanks!

Re: DaVinci Jr Filament Question

No you can leave it in. Keep in mind though that PLA absorbs a lot of moisture that can cause printing problems.  If you're in a high humidity area or if you know you're not going to be printing again for some time then remove the filament and store it in a ziploc bag or an air tight container.  Throw some rice in it for good measures. That'll help draw moisture away from the filament.
