Topic: Davinci Junior Spool Error

Hi,

I have the davinci jr. 1 3d printer and printed quite a few decent prints after calibrating it. The printer could print until 2 days ago. When on the same day I completed an object, I tried to print a second one but the print displayed an error message:

"Unidentified Spool Error"

Note that the spool is still the one shipped with however almost finished. According to the printer there is none left but XYZware shows that I still have filament to use and visually I do have.

I tried to unload and load the filament. The filament came through but when I choose to print the sample object, the printer gave the same error.

At this stage I cannot print. Note that I have not tempered with the firmware or anything.

Can anyone help me please.

You've probably already resolved this, but contact XYZWare support. They will most likely send you a new chip.

Unfortunately this is how it works with XYZ with their carts and chipped spools.  You get near the end and have filament left but the system sees it as empty.
