Topic: New XYZ pro software.

Hi Guys.
I am a newbie to the site, and having spent several months with a Da Vinci Aio, and only managing to use one cartridge of filament I sent it back, It just broke for fun and with poor customer relations, I think you all know the story.


Anyway the point to this post is that today I received an Email from XYZ, and while on the website I found that they have released the new software for the pro series printers, I am led to believe that temps and other setting can be adjusted.

I have downloaded it and the interface is totally different I am unable to adjust anything because it is looking for my printer.

It also uploads drivers for the printer but asks before it installs so you might want to uncheck the box until some brave soul has tried it.

Had It Been available and had  I known about it before last Thursday I would have done the honours knowing my machine was going back.

However with your current firmware this vision of XYZ software it may be a case that you only have to use the cartridge resetter in order to achieve good prints with third party filament.

Please guys be warned we all know about the sneaky goings on with XYZ keep your system off the net, I have no idea the differences between current machines and the new pro series, and how the firmware has been configured to get around the bespoke cartridges, if your going to flash your machine with third party firmware it could be worth a try first, but be careful.


If you look at the new software and try it is on your own head so don't shoot the messenger, trust has to be earned XYZ have not done so yet.

All I can see is the V 2.1.3.2. I installed it but see no new options.
Most likely it has to talk to the pro to enable this?

i would try and test it but it would be my luck they some how get in to my computer and flash my printer wink ....

Another newbie here.  First time posting but have read through many posts.  The new software for the Pro is version 1.1.1.13.  To change settings without a Pro printer, import your model then export it.  The export function will let you change temps, speed and retraction.  Of course it only exports to their ".3w" file and not gcode and would probably only work on a Pro printer.  If this works like the previous software, you will have the chance to make the same changes at print/slice time.  I currently have a 1.0A flashed with repetier but I did order a Pro. I'll let you know what I think about it when it comes in.  Also, I saw that the software lists the Pro and a Pro 3in1 printer.
