3D printed replicas of Mike K Viner sculptures

Dear friends!
I have a good news for you. I am glad to inform you that I  together with the team of my associates  have created the website http://shop-vinersculptures.com to sell  the replicas of my sculptures- caricatures. These unique collection figurines copy  my authentic  sculptures and they are made due to a modern technology:  3d printing.

How does it work?
First, I work on my sculpture - caricature as usual. I make every colored detail of polymer clay manually. A finished sculpture is subjected to heat treatment. Then I with my team scan this sculpture by 3-d scanner making the model match the original sculpture precisely and, finally, print it by modern 3d printer. Each step of this process is laborious and time-consuming.  Moreover, it requires much more efforts than, for example,  usual molding and following painting of the sculpture. I have chosen this way of copying of my sculptures deliberately because I am convinced that a coat of paint makes a sculpture look less realistic. I avoid this while creating the originals and accordingly in copies as well. As a result we have a kind of unique symbiosis of the author's art work and modern technology.
