Topic: Impulse purchase

Ok having had my XYZ Da Vinci for over 3 weeks and thinking it was ok then pretty good after all the messing around and fixing things. Today I was online today and noticed they were on special offer on one of the websites £305 ex vat. So with that I thought I would order a spare 1.0A to mess with. Plus 12 stock da vinci spools for my unmodded one.  While I was at it a E3D v6 hot end, a borosilicate glass bed with upgraded heater. Some linear bearings, a big box of 3m bolts and nuts hex head, a load of high quality bendable wire, some bullet connectors, a new soldering iron and a load of other bits (flash air, micro to SD adapters, 12V uprated power supply, Strip LEDs, heat shrink tube, M3 washers in steel, Aluminium, rubber neoprene, cable ties ) . Looks like I'm going to be busy in October smile

Just need to sneak it all past the wife smile

Good luck getting it past your wife.  I would be "grounded" to the basement for a long time.  smile

grounded to the basement isn't so bad..... as long as your 3d printer is in the basement!

Been there before when I bought a load of expensive metal detecting gear and a couple rare Lee Enfield ROF's, Had to buy her a brand new Vepr 12 with all the race add-ons for her competitions to get me out though. Think I can sneak a few 3D printer bits into my man cave without here noticing smile
