getting my spare laptop set up for win 10 pro 64bit and gonna load newest stuff for my SD2 on it. just need to know links for it.
Is there a specific win 10 version? I thought the current version from their website was for all versions of windows.
yes they have like a basic home version and a pro version and both come in 32 or 64 bit. when getting the free upgrade from win7 or win 8 it depends what OS your running as to which you get. I was using win7 unltra 64 bit so got the top version of 10. you must have ALL updates installed on your old OS b4 it will prompt you to update to win10 and its only for that PC since they dont give out a key
I just want the newest RH/Slic3r versions link for my SD2 to install on that laptop. its an IBM W500 with max upgrades. found an issue with all IBM 500 series also. they have wrong PCU cooling fan calculations so need to get fancontrol and set to full speed manual or they tend to overheat and shut down with out warning.
also win 10 dropped gadgets so the CPU/RAM usage meter is no more from win7

I know I already tried 10 twice and went back to 7 both times. you see if you game like I do 10 put a real hurt as in won't run certain games due to a Direct X incompatibility with some older version of Direct X. It also made some other games run really slow. So the newest and best is not always the best, just depends on your need. I think I will stay with 7 for a while longer. 10 really gives you no real advantage. Even the built in 3D printer support only supports a small number of printers. So even that for this community is a wash out.
The newest link for RH will be on their site of course and simple Google search for Repetier Host will point you there.
the other issue with the IBM/lenove thinkpads overheating is the models after T61 added faster/hotter CPUs yet also added fine screens in the already limited air holes underneath restricting air flow even more while leaving the fan settings same as b4. just an fyi for any owners.
do you run 64 or 32 bit? I am keeping my other PC as winXP sp3 32bit for similar reasons plus other old stuff that wont work in 64bit
I run 64Bit so I can use the 24GB of RAM I have installed and because my i7 is a 64 bit CPU.
Or, from within your current version of Repetier, simply click Help/Check for Updates, and it will give you a list of all the updates since your version, and a download button.

Update, I already removed win10 went back to win7 not just due to privacy issues but many compatibility and lost features issues also. and I closed my MS account also. win10 made my lenovo laptops very unusable and more so offline since most of the OS is cloud based its like the desktop image at startup, an empty burned out hull of an OS very boring with redundant incomplete menus etc.
like trading your PC for an Iphone which I also refuse to use for same reasons. I can do everything and more stand alone with my laptop on win7 or XP and the only cloud I have to protect it from is the rain kind. plus I retain all my extra features MS dont think I need. also dont want anymore so called updates/upgrades (downgrades). rather have zero MS support. its like a guy came along telling me he would install a high security system in my home free, then next morning I wake up in an empty cardboard box under the railroad bridge homeless lol
