Topic: Serial driver issue with SD1

Hello,

I am new to this forum, looking to get help with the drivers/first time setup of a solidoodle gen 1. I've had a difficult time finding any support for the solidoodle 1 as searching solidoodle on google or the forum brings up info on other newer models. Any help would be appreciated. Here's what I've done and what I am encountering.

The printer is connected through usb to my PC, running windows 10 (why did I bother upgrading?)
The printer is powered on.
In either soliprint or Repetier Host, the printer is not found.
Going to device manager and selecting to search automatically for the driver, windows assures me that I have the correct driver.
I don't believe windows is correct so I downloaded the serial driver install file from solidoodle's wiki, linked from the support page.
I run the driver installer, but it will not run, because window again says that I have the correct driver already.

Any ideas where to go from here would be helpful.

I figured it  out. Rookie error.

My printer is a solidoodle 1,so iI assumed that selecting  solidoodle 2 would not work, and that default would be the best option in repetier host. Default defers to an incorrect baud rate. Changing baud rate to 25000 established connection.
