Topic: 3d edit STL files

Hi everybody,

I really don't know if this topic might be here, but....

I'm trying to create some surgical guides from ct scans that I exported in STL files.
I started to use the 123d stuff for manipulate this files

You have another program that could be better than this one?

(sorry about the english, I'm from brazil)

Thanks

Re: 3d edit STL files

You may wish to try Blender (free) or Meshmixer (free) for editing and creating files that can be saved as .STL format for use in 3d printing. Both of these programs may provide a big challenge to learn, but they are both very powerful and very flexible to use. YouTube will provide you with many instructional videos for either program.

FSL3D Pegasus Touch (not yet used, out for updating/upgrading)
Kudos3D (still in box/kit form, for sale)

I think each person sees 3D objects different also meaning some programs look correct and others may not to individual users. kinda like the trick visual illusions we have seen. background colors etc play a big role in this.
