Topic: setting up SD3 to use PT100 sensor

I want to put the PT100 sensor on my E3D V6 that is on my SD3
how would I go about doing this?

the point is to up the heat range to 400C.

any ideas? or a walk through?

Thank you,
Ryan M.

The board just needs +5v and ground, then the signal runs to an analog pin. After that its just a matter of selecting the correct table in firmware.

Re: setting up SD3 to use PT100 sensor

Do you have the E3D PT100 interface board, or are you just trying to plug a PT100 sensor in?

The 5V level / resistor divider used for thermistor inputs will not work well with the lower-resistance PT100, it requires an interface board.

The E3D website says to use temperature sensor 20 in marlin configuration.h (you'll need to build and re-flash the firmware to change this).
