Topic: Davinci 1.0 Extruder clicking noise

so when my extruder lifts to move positions when it finishes a task (start and stop of a support for example) it makes a clicking noise. anyone had this happen or know what might be causing it? possible solutions?

Probably just noisy retraction. All you can do is take it abart and make sure everything is secure inside the extruder.

The extruder clicking is more than often the sign of a clog. A clicking sound would be a partial clog, a thump would be a full clog.
9/10 times, this is due to improper settings.  Most people have support settings travel faster than normal.  If the material you are working with is PLA or TPU, for example, the material is being thrust into the nozzle without proper heating, is not melted completely, and upon finish, the "normal" flow attempts to break the clog.

Do as Carl says. Inspect the hotend and recheck your temp/speed settings.
