Topic: e3d v6

Just did the mod following brit Steve youtube videos.. so far so good. I'm running stock firmware 1.0.1 on a 1.0A. I'm using simplify3D 3.0 and I'm printing ABS, PLA, HIPS ant PETG without issue. The best thing is I only use the resetter to set temps, that's it since you don't go thru the filament counter anymore... you think I really need to go repetier or I'm fine with simplify 3D, most of my print are tools... I think I will order a spool of ninjaflex just to see.... any advice are more than welcome...

I'm too planning to make the E3D upgrade to my 1.0 A. Did you buy the original e3d or some china clone?

Spend the extra cash on the real thing. You will hate yourself if you dont. Chinese clones will only give you leaks and clogs assuming they even work.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Thank you for your advice. Just got the original e3d. Planning to install it this weekend.

Re: e3d v6

I went a different route and used a MK8 extruder as I had an unused one already. Quite a simple mod :-) I've already posted details of it here - http://www.soliforum.com/post/103113/#p103113

Re: e3d v6

Also, if you are using stock firmware have a look at the eeprom resetter mod I did. I wired mine to a touchscreen directly to the eeprom :-) Works very well.

Re: e3d v6

I like the tpu. it needs a slow print but it is a good plastic for something that needs to bend

Here's the phone case... not bad! That stuff stick to the bed like crazy! I think it's time to try the Ninjaflex...
