Topic: For sale: solidoodle type printer frame with 2020 extrusions +extras
For sale is everything shown here (except for the volcano hot end) and so many extras:
This was a project that I started and I have not had the time to really get into it in almost 10 months, so I want to sell it and apply the money to my other interests. I just added up all my email reciepts from Misumi, McMaster, openbuilds parts store, folger tech, and aliexpress and the total is $1,185 dollars for everything and I'm sure I left some out of the count. Hurts to type that. I will take $650 (firm) for all of it, free shipping to lower 48 states. I accept paypal (buyer pays fees) and Dwolla (no fees) or cash is person in Virginia Beach, VA. Do not waste your time low balling or trying to negotiate with me, this is already practically a steal and I don't need to get ride of it that bad. More pics will be uploaded when I get home later.
This is an awesome printer frame built from the highest quality parts. You could make an XL solidoodle build or an awesome CoreXY design. The extrusions were factory cut by misumi, so it is totally square. Obviously, you should be an experienced reprap printer build or be willing to learn a lot if you buy this. Here is a general description:
2020 black extrusions, 400x400x500mm cube size with the good corner blocks. Any bigger than this is not really very practical for a hobby level printer. I made a nice wood bottom that mounts the PSU and case for a RUMBA (board not included) in the bottom, and has ninjaflex printed feet to dampen vibration and provide a nice grip. It also has a wood back. Includes a ton of M5 bolts in various sizes and the washers needed to bolt anything to the frame.
Complete Z axis assembly, including two M8 threaded rods, 4x 12mm smooth rods, flanged bearings, 2x ultimaker style bed holder, 2x NEMA 17 motors on brackets and all mounting hardware. This makes a very stiff Z axis that you can support from both sides.
Complete AC heated silicone bed and aluminum plate from McMaster. Includes 100K thermistor already installed and the correct solid state relay. Heat pad is 9"x9" and the aluminum build plate is about 11x11". Obviously, this is AC power you are dealing with and you should know what you are doing to avoid burning your house down. Use at your own risk. This is basically the best heated bed available on the market.
All the 8mm smooth rods and bearings to make a solidoodle or similar printer. All the metal brackets to mount these so there can be no printed parts in your frame if desired.
2 more NEMA 17's for Y and E axis and a NEMA 14 for X.
Ton of belts, pulley, bearings... a serious crap ton of printer parts. I will upload pics soon but it is couple boxes of parts.
$650 takes it all. If it doesn't sell here in a week or so, it is going on ebay where I will have to raise the price to cover fees. Frame will be disassembled and wrapped in a lot of bubble wrap for shipping. Due to the nature of the sale, all sales must be final. I will provide my eBay profile with a lot of positive feedback and references from a well known member of the 3D printing community so you can buy with confidence. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions!
