Topic: Repetier firmware-Pins for top sensor

I not-so-recently FUBARd the post-manufacture "oops" wire for the Z sensor in the Da Vinci 1.0a, and i'm trying to get this printer running again. I was wondering if anyone happened to know the name (in Pins.H) for the pins associated with the top sensor?

Not sure what you mean. You damaged a wire or sensor for the Z? Then just repair the wire. If the sensor is damaged then you will have to see if somebody here has one.

Neither. I did not damage the sensor or the wire going to it. On the board is(or was) a small piece of wire going from one of the pins to another portion of the board. Once this wire was removed, the z-sensor ceased to function, detecting a constant on. On the board, there are extra pins for sensors (used for the IR sensor for the filament monitor and the top sensor). I would like to use these pins to operate as the z-axis endstop pins, so I am trying to alter the firmware for this.

Did you buy this machine new? I have never seen an onboard mod done by XYZ on any of their boards. The pin map is their from my knowledge but the filament sensor is still used so your only option would be the door sensor which is not used and unfortunately not listed in the pin map. There is no schematic or anything for the Dam Vinci boards either so you may be out of luck or may have to put that wire mod back on.

This is the wire i'm talking about. On 1.0a boards (the ones WITHOUT the removable drivers), this is on every board. I have 2 of them and both boards have this wire. I snagged the wire with a screwdriver at one point, and the connected Z endstop no longer functions. What i am trying to find out is what are the pins defined as in Pins.H in Luc's Repetier 0.92 mod for the filament sensor and the top sensor.

You will need to ask him personally as there is no published documentation. He is on voltivo's site for the firmware section and pops in here sometimes. You could PM him and wait. Otherwise put the wire back on. Unless you ripped the pad off as well.

Pad's gone, unfortunately. When this happened, I attempted a repair, which did not work.

Well then I guess you will need to PM him then and ask if there is alternate pin you could remap.

Re: Repetier firmware-Pins for top sensor

the pinout for 1.0/2.0, 1.0A2.0A and AiO (no scanner) is here https://github.com/luc-github/Repetier- … inout.xlsx

One available pin, with a long connected wire available to go to Zsensor, is the Cartrige EEPROM pin which is not used by FW, so it allows to keep door sensor, should be easy to route it to sensor using wire or even directly on board connector, but be careful it is very fragile board  (in theory...)

And changes need to be done in userpins.h not pins.h

Good luck
