Topic: Hello from Ohio!

Hi all, I suppose I should introduce myself by telling you about my printer and experience with it.
I've had my Davinci 1.0 for a while now... I haven't had too many problems with it, and I've flashed it with Repetier. Almost instantaneously I wished I had done it from the beginning! For all of you Non-XYZ fellows out there, it really is THAT BAD.
I have some ideas, and projects I wish to accomplish on my Printer and I can't be more thrilled to come across such a lovely forum. Others I have been to, mock new members for silly little things or questions they ask that they deem unnecessary and I haven't seen that here yet. Make sure you keep your eye out for me in the forums!

Welcome to the forum.  I am not a Davinci owner . It was on my short list. And they are nice looking appliance like machines. I think the bad reviews of the software turned me off.

But like anything else there are workarounds.
Lots of patent helpful folks here.

Seriously though have had a Solidoodle 4 for about a year. Still mostly stock probably print a few hours a week. Print PLA on glass with hairspray for hold.

not a problem LOL I have been on forums for years newbies will as k the same question that has been asked seemingly a hundred times before. The search block is your friend  and sometimes google ,really try to read what has already been posted. We are all human, sometimes scan instead of reading and sometimes hit the summit button too quickly. It takes time to understand the culture of each forum and for the members to understand your perspectives.  I was nice and did not engage the cap lock button.
