For the solidoodle press what is the best support material settings? I am using ABS and temp is 240
Here are my settings in Repetier Host. Also, I too use ABS at 240C. I've heard that you shouldn't have to have your extruder this hot, but that's what seems to work best.
I use the Lines support pattern.
Overhang angle: 50
Fill amount: 25%
Distance XY: 0.7
Distance Z: 0.15
The two distance settings are the default values that I have never touched.
I've found that my Press doesn't like overhangs greater than 50 degrees or so, at least when printing with ABS. I've heard that PLA is more tolerant of overhangs, especially if you have a cooling fan on the print head.
