Topic: Lots to learn

Hi,
I'm brand new to the world of 3D printing.  I bought an XYZ Da Vinci 1.0 with a grant for my 5th and 6th grade classroom because I thought it might help inspire my students to create and invent things they never thought possible.  The printer worked pretty well throughout its first filament cartridge.  We printed all kinds of things my students found on Thingiverse such as the White House, Mt. Rainier, President Lincoln without any feet.  (They were too small to stick to the platform.)  And then we got some error messages.  I'm still working through a problem with the heater wire.  I found this forum while trying to figure out how to send XYZ the part they want.  I'm hoping to start off the school year with a working printer, and my new group of students will get to use it to actually design things.
