Topic: Filawinder Potentiometer Wiring

I’ve been building my filawinder and just finished most of the soldering.  What I can’t work out is the potentiometer.  The instructions say solder one colour wire to the two outside terminals and the other colour to the centre.  To me that suggests that there should be two wires of a single colour and a third wire of a different colour, but my three pin connector has red, white and black wires? Does it not matter at all how the potentiometer is wired?

The middle wire needs to wire to the middle pin.  The other two wires don't matter as much.  If you find the potentiometer is working backwards, you can simply flip the plug over at the board.
