Topic: Replacement hotend for folgertech Kossel?

Hey I'm shopping around for a new hotend. Having too many troubles with this one. I may have damaged the nozzle too....

So I know its a J-head type but I am overwhelmed with the number of options for replacing it that I can find on amazon.

Any recommendations?

I used the B3 Pico. It was a drop in fit and can be purchased at Microcenter or from the B3 website.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Wow I do really like the look of it... but it is expensive. If I added in a backup thermistor, extra nozzle, and groove mount it'd be easily over $130, then shipping, then duty sad

Trying to order replacement nozzles from folgertech... $30 shipping for 2 brass nozzles LOL. seriously... ridiculous.

E3D Lite6. Will do all that your J-head does with interchangeable nozzles and a cheap upgrade path to v6 if you ever want higher temp materials. Best of all: it's $34.99.

I went with this! I ordered it from matter hackers. Shipping to Canada was only $15... they might charge me duty again, I hope not.

Owch the USD/CAD exchange rate is horrible right now. 0.75

Ah sad Oh well. My impatience always gets the better of me.

I am so frustrated that it may take weeks before I can print again..
