Topic: Bad prints

Hi,
I was hoping someone may be able to help.
I'm using slicer to make my code but when I do I get really rough edges on my prints.
The part i'm doing has a small chamfer on the bottom face that seem to get full of tiny holes.
Could anyone recomend some setting for slicer or does anyone know the optimum setting for the Da vinci.
Quality improves the further up the part and the top face chamfer is fine.
any suggestions would be appreciated.

To be honest, I never had much luck with slic3r either and gave up on it pretty quickly.
Just couldn't get decent results with it no matter how much I tweaked the settings.
I would recommend trying Cura, it produces far better results with much less tinkering.
Or even better (although not free) is Simplify3d.
For me, this is the king of them all at the moment. Knocks spots off any other 3d printing software.
A superb slicer (very fast !) also with mesh repair and machine control in one program.

I have been using slicer. one thing that helped when I was getting rough prints at the bottom was to make sure the filament extruder is calibrated right.

That and make sure the bed is level.
