Break in wires somewhere else. I'm guessing the three red wires that seem to connect on the other side of the x motor. Is that the sensor that detects Y position? Outside of getting a new harness am I left to finding bad wire and fixing? I asked tech support for a replacement motor harness and they told me they had none available. This just keeps getting better
Thanks
ZYZ has not considered end support nor expected users to be willing to repair their units themselves. They are not used to this market where we are willing to repair. Their home market expects the entire unit to be replaced and that is what they expected from the US and UK. The only parts they stock ate ehats on the webstore and what they have for production.
As fot your problem are you on stock or rep firmware? There is no limit sensor for the max limit which is the forward position. Instead it uses a soft limit set in firmware. It counts from home our to that point. However if the sensor does trip due to an intermittent open which is interpreted as the sensor being hit, that will be the new home and it will move forward some 200 odd steps before stopping or hitting the physical stop.
So if your sensor harness is bad or the connection is loose then you could see whst you are seeing.
The Y sensor is in the back left with orange wires. The X sensor is on the X carriage at the right with Red wires. I have no idea why they used the same color on all three wires for each axis. All I can guess is thrt intended to make this machine hard to work on.
