Another twisting fractal vase

Inspired by thing I wanted to see if I could model one of these vases / art cups in Solidworks.  I wanted mine to start small and increase towards the top so I can have a unique pen holder or something to show off. 

Here's the effort.  Interestingly enough netfabb increased the triangles and size of the file.  I'll print it this weekend and let you know how it goes. 

Is this different enough where I would need to list it as a derivative at thingiverse or since I started from a blank page do I just call it my own?

It's solid so I could print it without infill and modify gcode to remove the top layers.  That worked out really nice since you can tell your slicer to have 2 perimeters and not have to try to get the shell thickness right and hope the slicer does the fill the way you wanted.  Just wish there was a way in skeinforge to tell it to do a base but no top.
