Topic: Strange wave effect on prints

Hi All, I am new here and to 3D printing as well.
I have DaVinci 1.0 and I have some strange defect on all the prints and perhaps I can get some ideas here.
I am running the standard XYZ software and firmware.

The attached pics of an aborted print with the problem, there is a sort of wavy effect roughly perpendicular to the direction of the movement of the head. We can see the problem in both directions.

Also the first few layers of the prints look all too hot, melted, is it normal ? Can I do something to adjust it on the default XYZ software ? The bed warms to 90 degree C.

Any ideas/pointers appreciated

Go here, http://support.3dverkstan.se/article/23 … de#ringing by the look of the picture you posted this is what most resembles it, the troubleshooting guide is for the ultimaker but some of the settings/tips may work for you
