Using a high infill should let this guy work. Be sure to give us some pictures of the final print! Being able to print this on its side would greatly reduce printing time but might increase warp.
i hope t fond out in a few days if solidoodle will hurry up this has been a very low work month for me i could have spent spare time learnign my printer but nooooo
It will probably break, cracking between layers somewhere. If it is printed lying down, the layers will be perpendicular to the force.
I would not be trying that one out without goggles, gloves and a face mask, thats likely to end in major tears.
Hi stoney i've been told by a friend the arms may need to be stronger. This is supposed to be printed lying down that way it should be stronger. I'd envisioned using a single alrge rubber band or posably chained rubber bands but not surgical tubing. this is also in a way a stress test of the material. i think if i beef up the forks at the connection to the handle thickening them that woudl help. sadly no printer yet of my own. if anyone gets smakced iin the face i appologize in advance. but please elt me know where it breaks so i can rethink the idea lol
Manx, from an engineering standpoint, you have the area that will have the most stress as the thinnest part of your slingshot. Look at it from that respect. It may work anyway but if it fails you can add thickness to the high stress areas to make it stronger.
When designing parts made with TPD printers make sure you take the layer direction into account to increase object strength. ^ Exactly what they said!

If it breaks in use, you could still throw that beefy handle at your target! ![]()
