Topic: Z bed stuck on bottom

Good afternoon folks smile I could really use some help on this. I have a davinci 1.0 that had been upgraded to repetier 0.92.  The issue being that it now my Z bed has gone all the way to the bottom and does not move from there. When trying to navigate it, it makes a horrid grinding noise with no movement.

I have updated the eeprom settings, and Z acceleration in hopes that may help out but am at a loss.

I would appreciate any help you pros have! I love the endless possibilites this opens up am excited to use it again someday.

take care & thank you for your time

Try inverting the z direction in your firmware.

Re: Z bed stuck on bottom

where exactly am I looking for that? In printer settings in repetier I already have the x, y, z axis reversed. which seems to be more for the control buttons. currently my Z offset is set at -3.00.

when I 'move the bed' the numbers are accurate. it sounds more like the bed had bottomed out and isnt catching on the gears possibly?

Axis direction is a firmware setting in the configuration.h tab of adruino when you have it open to upload to the printer.

Have you tried to home all the axis and lift up on the bed by hand? That rod is threaded all the way down to the motor coupler. It would be near impossible for the follower nut to get of the threads.

Re: Z bed stuck on bottom

So my answer was in my last post, i realized after I had submitted. with my version being 1.0 and the model being a 3F10A means from my understanding that it is not compatible with the custom firmware. Though letting it be installed still does not allow the extruder to heat up & the z bed to move.

looks like I will be going back to XYZ and getting a resetter switch until this gets cracked.

Thank you so much for your help & I hope I am wrong.

Based on stuff I read recently the newest .92 Repetier firmware  is supposed to work with all XYZ printers from the 1.0 to the Aoi all in without scanner support of course. When you have the firmware open in Adruino you have to select the machine type in the configuration.h tab before you compile and upload it to the machine.
