Topic: 3 months ... still in the box and broken ...

Hello,

Finally receiver my solidoodle after 3 months ... opened the box ... and ... no, can't use it ... broken part.

The shipping for the printer itself took 2 weeks, so the time soliddodle send me a spare part, etc, that will add a 4th month to the waiting.

Great ..............................................

Thomas.

PS : can't even post photos in the forum, even using links ...... WTF ??????????

Post some posts in the introduction thread, I think you need 5 posts to post links/pictures.

LOL just glue it wtf!  They are still using trash threaded rod to print the parts so it looks like de-lamination from...a poorly printed part...layers should never separate on a well printed part.

Yep, CA glue should put those two together real well.

Hello,

I did glue it back in 1 piece (was in 3 parts) using acetone.
But never expected to receive broken parts for 700€ ......

That is a returnable machine IMHO, any damage to the box?    You shouldn't have to try and fix that, ask for a replacement printer.   Your printer should be close to working out of the box.

I understand and agree with your frustration.  It's unfortunately a common problem but they are refining the packaging methods.  I glued a piece back together on mine and have been using it that way for 4 months straight.

Welcome aboard looking forward to seeing your prints.

That is definitely a glue worthy break. You'll still get your printer faster than most of us. The wait is worth it.

In this case we'd most likely have to replace the carriage. The parts are not easy to replace.
