Topic: print suggestions

I finally got my printer up and running.  I was teaching my kids how to use there new equipment.  My daughter wanted to print phone case. She follow my instructions on how to use and send it off to print.  I think she did not use enough glue to hold the filament down.  It move during the process.  But I still let it finish.  To show them how you can get a bad print and make corrections. I set it with flat of the case to the plate surface.  As you can see the results. The inside was not bad, still can use some work.  The back of the case you can see the disaster.   I would like some feedback on the best way to print phone case, ideas and tips.  Since I have this damage case.  I'm going to show my kids the result when you acetone bath.  So they can see the difference and learn.

Thanks

Your bed is not close enough to the nozzle. Have you used the manual calibration method posted as a sticky in this section? The built in feature does not set the correct height since the correct height is based on your desired layer height and the printer does not know what layer height you plan to use.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: print suggestions

That's what I use.  I set the paper and once the paper and extruder met. That was it.  But I will recheck it again.  It could have moved.
What do you to clean excess glue of the bed?

Re: print suggestions

Yea, you are just too far, thats why the inner layers came out well.  Just move the bed closer.  I use a razor blade and wet nap to clean the glass.

Re: print suggestions

I remove glue residue with a wet paper towel and then use a dry one to finish.
