Topic: Mac software for xyz

Hi,

I have had endless problems with xyz software for mac, I recently downgraded my firmware to 1.1.J after the printer refused to accept an xyz abs cartridge. I now cannot get any mac version of the xyz software to open for more than a few seconds before crashing, xyz themselves are useless and their support is non existant, does anyone out there know what is happening ?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Check out my two comment/post's (galaxy99) - that should get you back to the starting point.

FYI - Now using only Netfab (to repair .stl) and Simplfy3D to print.  All is working well after completely deleting xyzware.

Mac OSX ElCapitan
Prusa i3 (two built from kits), 1 hacked DaVinci
Solidworks for models, Netfabb to repair, Repetier/Slic3r and Simplify3D

I second Galaxy's comment about dumping XYZWare and moving to Simplify3D - it's not perfect but light-years beyond XYZWare. I'd strongly suggest taking the plunge and moving to Repetier Firmware as well - you free yourself up from cartridge hassles. Not to mention you can then use Octoprint for remote printing/monitoring.
