Topic: Pending New ABS Filament?

Hello all

I was looking at Studica's website and discovered that they are offering three new colors of XYZPrinting ABS filament: Gold, Neon Magenta and Neon Yellow.

What's funny is XYZ's site hasn't been updated to show any new colors in quite some time.

Hopefully this means that more variety in filament will be offered in the near future.

Here is the link if you want to see the new colors: http://www.studica.com/XYZprinting

Re: Pending New ABS Filament?

Why buy stock xyz filament for about 40% less filament and higher price than 3rd party filaments?  get some filament off ebay or florida-filaments.com is my thoughts.

Re: Pending New ABS Filament?

Why buy off Studica? There are other places like Amazon and Microcenter.com you can get carts from. But as Hansen asked why pay 35 bucks for 600G when you can get 1Kilo for 25 bucks and it will be better quality?

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: Pending New ABS Filament?

I'm not buying from Studica. I was just posting the fact that new filaments are out there for the DaVinci. I get most of my carts from Newegg.

I haven't got around to hacking my machine to accept after-market filament as yet either so I'm stuck with the carts for the time being...

You really don't need to hack to use after market ABS. Just get a cartridge resetter off ebay for 30 bucks. Then print from a spool while leaving the cart in the machine so it thinks it is printing from the cart. No hacking of any kind.

Re: Pending New ABS Filament?

Unfortunately I'm running the most current firmware so I would have to downgrade to get the resetter to work.

From what I saw on the 'net, the downgrade process is a bitch.

The printing quality improvement from using better filament worth it imo.
