Topic: Bed too low after bad calibration
I was having problems printing a solid object (the extruder kept hitting the print and peeling it up from the platform) so I decided to play around with the Z-Axis Calibration settings in SoliPrint. Now the bed seems to be stuck too low.
Using the "fine tunir" I changed the setting from 0.00 to 0.20, just to see if that made a difference, then couldn't get it back to 0. As in, even if I set it to 0.00 in New Z Offs and/or Initial Z Offs (I tried every combination I could think of), Initial Z Offs defaults to 0.5, 0.1, or 0.01 or whatever I last tried to set it to that wasn't 0.00. One time I somehow got it to "Z:-1".
Long story short, I kept fiddling with it, trying to re-zero it, and now the print bed is permanently several centimeters from the extruder for every print, rendering the printer useless. I can manually move the bed back up to the extruder with the printer config window, but it just moves it back down when it prints.
I'm still pretty new to 3D printing, and I have no idea how to go about solving this. Is there some setting I'm missing? Is there a persistent configuration file I can edit? Can I do a factory reset somehow? Please help!
Note: I'm using a Mac at the moment, so if there's a persistent config file somewhere on the computer I'll need to know where it is in OS X. I do have Windows and Linux machines I can use, though, if that's the only way to fix it.
