Topic: Max extruder temp for Apprentice

What is the max temp that the Apprentice extruder can go to? More specifically, would it be an all-metal head?

Re: Max extruder temp for Apprentice

250, like other models you will start melting the PEEK. If you need higher temps youd need an all metal end. Also keep in mind your temp is prob 5-10ish degrees hotter than it says, due to thermistor being taped to side of nozzle and not inside block such as an e3d

Ah ok. So the E3D fits right in, and does not require lots of configuration?

No it will require a new extruder mount which for single hotend is the mk5, no clue as to a dual extruder. Not sure if anyone has swapped to all metal on that model yet
