Re: Max temp help

it sounds like a bug in your host more than anything. what version of RH are you using?

27

Re: Max temp help

yeah thats what i thought, 1.0.6

28

Re: Max temp help

Ah, I'm not familiar with that version but I have heard people say it is far from perfect. If it works though, might as well not fix it wink

Re: Max temp help

ok thanks anyway

Re: Max temp help

i went back and looked at my firmware and the baud rate was 250000 but in RH i have it set to 115200 as Solidoodle support says, should it be like that in the firmware?

33

Re: Max temp help

Just bump up the baud rate in RH. the board can handle 250000 just fine.

34

Re: Max temp help

ok i fixed that but still stops and says "mk" and i press the "OK" button and it keeps printing then after a little it repeats

35

Re: Max temp help

Also after it stops you can push the extruder around, as the motors aren't "locked". Could it be that the power supply isnt big enough and caint handle the extra fan and bigger heater?

Re: Max temp help

i am also also using RH 1.0.6 and have the same issue of having to bump the X & Y endstops after homing all axis before they can be moved - not really sure what is up with that...
i think it may have something to do with the odd behavior i get if i try to add the ending G code to home X & Y after a job is completed, too...

Re: Max temp help

um,yup... smile

i dont have any problems with it stopping mid-print tho...

are your stepper motors overheating maybe?

most likely the X axis motor - mine used to get really hot - too hot to touch. I found a fan mount in the forums here somewhere, printed that out and put a fan on that motor and it hasnt overheated since. best thing I have done to this printer so far... aside from adjusting the trimpots that were way over spec...

Re: Max temp help

ok i tried that firmware and so far so good been printing for 3hrs now and hasnt stooped once, thanks very much! As far as the motors not moving after homing it i believe thats a RH bug as it dont do it in the older version.
