Topic: Da vinci 1.0 l_error or software crash

A week ago my computers power supply stopped working dell warrantied it by replacing my mother board and power supply.  Now when I try to print something on my Da Vinci 1.0 after slicing and after I would press print for the last time my software shutsdown or I get this error message.

L-ERROR
System.NullReferenceException:Object reference not set ot an instance of an object.
at XYZ view.wpf.Export.Decryp(StringtoDecrypt, String Key)
at SYZ.view.wpf.Export.Offlinesendata(String offlinebuffer)
at XYZ.main.LoadGCode(Stringfile)

I see on here were someone else has got this error but it appears they haven't got any help yet either.  I am less that happy with xyz's customer support so far.  Maybe they will come through in the end they just don't seem to be in much of a hurry to help.  any suggestion?  So far I have tried multiple file that have printed in the past,  uninstalled and reinstalled my software,  tried before update and after,  used netfabb file repair (per xyz's suggestion),  and open software with admin rights.  Any more suggestions for me to try?

That is a programming error, or maybe your program's files have been corrupted by something. I'd suggest 2 things:

  • Uninstall the program (XYZWare I suppose?) and download and install a new copy

  • Try printing at a lower resolution. When a similar, but not identical, thing happened to me, I reduced the complexity of the model. (I have never more tried to print at 0.1mm on the DaVinci V1 again!).
