Re: firmware version

This is for the Da Vinci 1.0:

Fire up XYZWare and chose "about". It should be the last icon in the upper right corner of the build box screen.

Once the menu box pops up, choose "update firmware".  There is no provision to download it from their site anymore.

The most recent version of XYZWare automatically updates the firmware to the most recent version once it's installed.

The most recent firmware solves the filament unloading issue.

I believe the most recent firmware for the 1.0 is 1.1.5.8

XYZ has different firmware versions for each machine that are in various stages of development.

Win 8.1
Improved Da Vinci 1.0 with Firmware 1.2.5 and stock extruder
Arduino cartridge resetter and after-market ABS filament
TinkerCAD, Netfabb, Simplify3D

Re: firmware version

I believe that mine is a 1.0A. Magnetic door closers. 3D printer printed on door bottom. Does it make a difference?

Re: firmware version

It may. But it shouldn't because it's still essentially a v1 with improvements.

The firmware for the other machines account for the extra extruder (2.0) or the scanner (AiO).

You're lucky, I wish I had the 1.0A myself big_smile

Re: firmware version

I have the DaVinci 1.0A with firmware 1.0.3.

I am not sure if that is now the latest on this model but it is pretty recent.  I have not allowed XYZ to phone home and update the printer.  I would be curious if anyone has a newer version.

Re: firmware version

I'm happy that I upgraded mine because the filament unloading issue was pretty annoying.

They did a good job in fixing it though, the filament come right out immediately now.

I believe that fix was just for the original 1.0, correct?  Not the 1.0A?

Re: firmware version

I don't know. If you have no issues unloading your filament, then you're golden.

Until they fixed it, I was literally ripping it out of the top of the extruder.

Re: firmware version

So if i install the latest xyzware 1.1.34.8 i get what firmware? What a confusing way of doing things. Is this there attempt to load some kind of spyware or system lock preventing resetter or something else.
