Topic: Filastruder enclosure kit removable back plate modification
I designed a way to have a removable back plate that also has a tiny fan and a method for mounting the stall protection board integrated. It is a 3D printed plate that you can download below from my repository and you can edit it in Inventor 2015 if you wish. I designed it for some hardware (fan, fastener) I had lying around, but you can adjust as needed with Inventor, an STL editor, or a drill! There is also an image that shows, in general, how to cut out two slots from the back plate that probably will not remove too much material for strength. I have tested it myself and it works for me, but if you break your enclosure then there is no warranty incuded! There is also a printable back plate available, but I didn't want to do that myself due to time constraints so I just cut one out. That also means that the printable one isn't tested, but it's extruded in Inventor right from the cutout file for laser cutting from Thingiverse for the enclosure, so it SHOULD be the right dimensions. The printable one should probably be done in higher infill, I would do it at 65% or up if I were printing it. I made it 7mm thick, so it is a small bit thicker than the normal melamine.
