Topic: PLA pellets with sugar or food colorant ?

Would sugar colorant work with PLA pellets prior to extrusion thru the filastruder ?
I wonder.
PLA colorant ok too but its not producing perfect blend whereas food colorant could be blended much easier with the pellets.

I dont have any colorant to try but i have plenty of pellets so i really want to mess with this.

Does anybody have any experience with that ?

RIT clothing dye, ethyl acetate, and pla pellets. Pour into a pan and mix it well. Then let it dry out completely. Grind up and boom you have your own pla colorant.

I tried egg colorant and it did not work.
It simply did not mix with melted PLA.
Back to the drawing board sad
