Re: Odd print layer problem

I had some bad filament do that. Try swapping to a new-ish roll

I am using the same roll on two different printers and one works great.

Is everything tight? No play in the bed or movement in the head? To me it looks like your z axis screw rods are warped. I would suggest using the manual control buttons, move the Z axis all the way to the top. Then send a z home command and watch for any left to right or front to back movement in the head.

Z rods may be a factor. Tossing a wellnut on may or may not help your situation.
I'm wondering at this point two things:
*Have you double checked that the hotend is secure?
*Is there any play in the belt pulleys?

Something needs to be tightened down

HI thanks. Extruder head seems to have some play.  Just now tighten it down and will retry tomorrow to see how it prints. I will post findings here. thanks
