Topic: Multiple exit holes?

This might be a really stupid question, but could it be possible to extrude multiple strands in parallel with multiple holes drilled in the cap?

Thanks!

Re: Multiple exit holes?

I was wondering that too.  I guess you'd need two winders wink

It would be a bit less volume for two holes of 1.75 than for 2.8mm.

Make sure the barrel is insulated well to give as long of a melt zone as possible?

Is two faster than one just extruding faster?

Re: Multiple exit holes?

you must have got that idea by looking at the E3D Cyclops hot end.

How about 2 filastruders into a "T" fitting and one nozzle for double the rate?...........Just Kidding.

Re: Multiple exit holes?

brass T fitting with 2 90* elbows, 20awg nichrome wire wrapped in various materials.

had it setup with 2 ks filastruder's for a while, and had digital voltage regulators on both motors.
took it apart since i don't really have the space for it, but could rebuild it pretty easy.

the purpose of building this was for material mixing and testing, worked pretty well but have some ideas for whats i'll do next with it.
