Topic: Why is Solidoodle 4 so expensive all of a sudden?

I understand that Press used to be very cheap because it was a preorder and all that, but why has SD4 become $200 more expensive all of a sudden? I think most of the experienced users here know that SD4 is far from a great 3d printer and requires a ton of fixing and upgrading to print anywhere good as a Press with its better mechanical parts and injection molded plastic parts instead of 3d printed.

I think they are trying to find the right price point to balance out sales volume and profits.
still $200 cheaper than when I purchased mine almost a year ago.
Would be nice if they used some of the profit to pay for customer service and tech support. ( Not holding Breath) .

Many of their customers will need help at some point in time. And even with a "support ticket number" for an easy question is a long wait....if you hear anything at all.
But at least Soliforum has said users' backs wink
