Topic: Requesting guide for updating/edit press firmware

The press firmware have been slightly changed on the new presses . now its possible to change probe points from 9 to more  and Z endstop limit switch is activated from not activated on the early presses.

so now im asking both solidoodle to provide the new firmware or this community to
help us that have not done this before how to update whit new firmware or edit the old firmware.

What your looking for is "#define Z_MAX_PIN 37"

SD Press - v1 (Pre-order) / RAMPs /w DRV8825's / Cyclops (25w) / Dual Bowden / Mk8 Gear / MK2b PCB Heat bed /w custom replacement Z / PEI Bed
SD2 / E3D v6 / Direct Drive / Mk8 Gear / RAMBo v1.3 / PEI Bed / Anti Z backlash mod / Ikea Expedite enclosure.
Both Driven by Octoprint (devel) via a RPi B+ / Neopixel status alerts / GPIO Controlled SSR / (SD2) 450 Watt PSU for remote power-up/shutdown.

well a more novice user guide    how do i connect the right way for updating do i need special hardware?
do i need arduino board? and so on  thanks for posting anyways

I couldn't find "#define Z_MAX_PIN 37" in that firmware.

okey thanks but what do i need for updating
only possible whit a chip programer? im no engineer

Does there exist a guide for updating firmware? I understand we would have to apply a jumper on the board, but there is no reset button as on previous boards.

i have the new fimware now what do i do to upload it ?

what do i need to buy or can it be done from windows right away??
