Topic: Da Vinci 3d printer 1.0 AIO

After I sent back the first one due to horrible support and constantly assuming I was an idiot.  I received the new one today.  So far I am having the very same issues.  This machine will print most anything.  The problem I am having is that the "scan" part of the machine wont seem to scan anything.  "Anything."  A two inch non shiny block, dark or light doesn't matter.   It will get to about 6% then it will say "unknown printer error" then it will say the printer is not connected.  Good luck with support.  Anyone else having this problem.

If the scan gets to 45% the xyz software quits working.            Nice.

Hate to break it to you but two inches is the very minimal scanning threshold for this machine. Meaning it may not scan at two ibches and will not scan at anything smaller. Most users have reported similar issues with this machine. It would be better for you to exchange it for a 1.0 or 1.0A and then look into other scanning options like Atlas listed in this forum. Also fyi there is a DaVinci section here.

I just received my xyz AiO ver 1.0 last week and got it to print.  However, when scanning it only goes to 50% then the XYZscan software shuts down.  Also only the right side laser is on.
Are both left and right lasers supposed to be on throughout the scan or do they sequence ... right for first 50% then left for final 50%?
Also it looks like I am having the same problem as steveghood.  Any ideas what the problem is?  Bye the way the object size doesn't make any difference in this problem.

I resolved my scanner issue that I described in my last post by buying a more powerful (Intel i5 processor) computer. AiO scanner and printer now work correctly with latest XYZ software and firmware.
