Re: Beginner here.Is it good for start?

I'm bothered by how little information there is on the electrical side of things. They don't tell you what kind of board or what stepper drivers they are using, and since you're ordering a kit from overseas there will be nobody to help you if things go wrong.

FolgerTech has a i3 prusa kit made of 2020 aluminum extrusion: http://folgertech.com/collections/3d-pr … rinter-kit It is cheaper than your kit (though it doesn't have the LCD), but it has US support and Heartless here on the forums has successfully assembled one and seems to be happy with the kit.

SD3 w/ RUMBA (8825s), merlin hot end (in pieces). Ender3 w/ silent board for PLA printing. Ender5 w/ silent board, e3d v6, new z lead screw, and glass bed. DiY Kossel w/ smoothieboard (in pieces). Vellman Vertex (in pieces)
Shapeoko2 router in process of being converted to laser engraver (in pieces)
Multicam 5000 series CNC Router w/ 11HP spindle, 5x10' table, and auto tool changer (in pieces)

I would also be cautious of the acrylic frame... I know there are a lot of them out there, but not a real good choice in my humble opinion. I prefer the durability of metal frames over plastic - less chance of something cracking under stress.

Yes, I have successfully assembled the Folgertech 2020 Prusa i3, and have it running - but still working out a few bugs... it has only been just over a week tho, lol

SD4 #1 & #2 - Lawsy carriages, E3D v6, Rumba controller board, mirror bed plate, X motor fan, upgraded PSU & Mica bed heater
SD4 #3 - in the works ~ Folgertech FT-5, rev 1

Re: Beginner here.Is it good for start?

Is it plugged in ?

these are dual voltage. Is the switch on the side in the correct position?
Do you have a meter to check voltages?
Start at the wall outlet and work tour way though each connection.

Re: Beginner here.Is it good for start?

yes according to the guide its in the right position. and i do not have a meter to check i guess i will have to buy one. i triple checked all the wires connected and they seem to be in the right place. the screen and motherboard are working.
