Topic: Davinci Duo cartridge Not Installed

I've had my Duo for about 6 weeks and been through the supplied cartridges plus three new ones. I purchase a new Red ABS carteidge from the same place as previous ones and put it in the printer, but the printer just says "Not Installed". Tried it in both slots, but always not installed. I can drop other cartridges in and they all work fine.

I contacted the company I purchased from who said I need to talk to XYZ support.... So I opened a case and waited.

Whilst waiting I purchased another red cartridge from a different company so I could get printing, however I get exactly the same saying Not Instslled.

I did finally hear back from support suggesting putting the filament in the extruder then dropping the cartridge in, but doesn't help.

The printer is stock, running 1.0.F firmware. Any help really appreciated.

Many users have complained of such issues once the machine was updated. It seems the new firmware cannot read certain cartridges as valid or present.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

So if I need to downgrade to 1.0.b where can I get it from as it isn't available from XYZ and wctek?
