Topic: Da Vinci 1.0 clicking after a couple lines

I have the same problem with extruder clicking like others, but mine Da Vinci 1.0 starts clicking after a couple lines of printing. I think its clicking only with the not original ABS-Filaments, because before I updated the printer, i printed with all my filaments and it worked. Someone have a answer for me? I tried all things i found in the Internet: Cleaning the extruder, i checked the filament spool its doesn't stuck anywhere, checking the temperatur of the extruder while its printing and i pulled the bed away from the extruder while it was clicking, but anything will help.

Maybe your stepper motor is running too hot and failing.

Re: Da Vinci 1.0 clicking after a couple lines

I have the davinci 1.0 that was doing the same thing clicking around the first couple lines and would not lay down filament .What i found the problem to be was the heatbed was to close to the extruder. How i found this out was i started a print and when it first started to print with no filament coming out i pressed down a little on the very front center edge where the knob is and imeadiately the layer began printing with no noise when i took the pressure off clicking came back.I adjusted the bed down a little bit and re calibrated no more clicking hope this helps.

XYZ filament is specially formulated to melt at a much lower than normal temp. For non XyZ you need to raise your temp to 220 or more. Also make sure your bed is not too close to the nozzle.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
